From 1st July to 3rd September, Kendal BID and the businesses of Kendal present the eagerly anticipated 2023 Kendal Summer Trail. This exciting event allows families to explore the local area while engaging in a fun-filled Safari Summer theme.
The Kendal Summer Trail is an opportunity for families to immerse themselves in the beauty of Kendal and create lasting memories. Participants can obtain a trail map from participating stores or conveniently download it from the Visit Kendal website. The map will guide you through Kendal’s town center, leading you to find 17 numbered animals along the way.
Unleash Your Creativity: As you explore the trail, let your imagination soar and capture the animals favourite things onto the map. Encourage your family members to write or draw their memorable moments, ensuring a personalised touch to the experience. It’s not just about the animals; it’s about creating a keepsake that will remind you of the joyous times spent in Kendal.
In addition to the numbered animals on the trail, keep your eyes peeled for the hidden 120 animals tucked away in the delightful shop windows around town. Challenge yourself and see how many of these secret creatures you can spot as you explore Kendal’s vibrant streets.
And keep your eyes out for Trail Treats along the way at participating stores!
Once you’ve completed the Kendal Summer Trail, make your way to Booths in Kendal to submit your trail map. By doing so, you’ll have the opportunity to win a voucher to spend in Kendal, ensuring that your journey doesn’t end without a reward. The anticipation of winning enhances the overall thrill of the trail, leaving you eager to return and explore further.
Family-Friendly Festival
To amplify the excitement of summer in Kendal, a brand-new family-friendly festival awaits on 22nd and 23rd July. Gather your loved ones and revel in a day of sun-soaked festivities. We did the trail with our 5 year old granddaughter today. What a fantastic idea, she thought it was brilliant. All the staff in the shops with treats were very welcoming and friendly. We visited parts of Kendal that we hadn’t seen before. Well done to all the organisers and businesses who took part.
