From the very best of local food and drink to internationally renowned arts and comedy, outdoor adventure to traditional craft and rural traditions… events and festivals are a great way to experience the very best of Kendal’s unique culture.

Kendal Calling is an award-winning music festival founded in Kendal and grown into one of the most spectacular festival settings in the world. Sadly, it’s no longer held in the town but it carries our name and we’re still very attached to it.

Westmorland County Show - a must-visit, attracting over 37,000 visitors annually. With livestock showcases, show jumping, interactive displays, crafty creations, and delicious artisan treats,

Kendal Music Festival was held for the first time in October 2023 with 100 acts across town. Brought to you by Kendal BID.

Kendal Business Improvement District (BID) is bringing festive cheer to the town with a Christmas Celebration. The fun will take place in Kendal Market Place and Finkle Street on Sunday 1 December. The festive event will host around 20 Christmas stalls, providing an assortment of gifts, crafts, food, and drink.
