The Westmorland County Show is a unique celebration of countryside life, brimming with Cumbrian character.
Founded in 1799, the Westmorland County Show is one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in the country – and one of the oldest – renowned for its relaxed, convivial atmosphere and firm roots in rural tradition.
Traditionally held on the 2nd Thursday of September each year, the County Show has its heart firmly in agriculture and is a major livestock show – featuring animals from alpacas to pigs and heavy horses.
Westmorland County Show features the largest Food Hall in the north west, alongside hundreds of stalls and marquees packed with traditional crafts, activities and displays.
