This friendly climbing wall welcomes locals and visitors for sessions, lessons and family activities. Boasting England’s tallest leading wall at 25 metres, Kendal wall has a wide variety of routes for every ability – even ‘CrazyClimb’ sessions for kids and an exciting Via Ferrata-style indoor arial adventure.
Kendal is renowned amongst climbers for it’s fantastic indoor climbing wall – with facilities and activities for experts and beginners alike. Kids love learning exciting climbing skills, and you don’t have to be a member to book lessons.
The centre’s series of 12m walls were remodelled and refurbished in October 2018 with an exciting 38 new routes to try.
The competition will run for 6 weeks from 3rd June until 2nd September and features 3 open rounds, with each individual round consists of 25 boulder problems ranging from easy to very hard, so there’s routes for everyone.
Completion of a bouldering problem gets you 1 point no matter how many attempts it takes you to complete it.
Each round is cumulative, so the person who’s completed the most bouldering problems over the 3 rounds wins! There are 6 competition categories in total and the winner of each category will receive a free month pass to Kendal Climbing Wall.
The Creamery Café is a social hub within the reception area of Kendal’s Climbing Wall. A place to enjoy delicious handmade cakes, sandwiches, fresh coffee and juices. Relax after a tough climbing session, or socialise with fellow participants as you wait for your young climbers to finish their sessions.
