That’s why our shops and boutiques have extended their opening hours, providing countless opportunities to find the perfect Christmas gifts in Kendal this December.

Armstrong Ward, Wainwrights Yard
Armstrong Ward in Wainwright’s Yard will be holding two late night shopping evenings on Thursday 14th November and Thursday 21st November from 6pm – 9pm.
Westmorland Shopping Centre
Throughout December, Westmorland Shopping Centre will open it’s doors from 08.30 – 17.30 Monday to Fridays, from 08.30 – 18.30 Saturdays and from 09.30 – 16.30 on Sundays. On Christmas Eve the shopping centre will be open from 08.00 – 16.00 and on Boxing Day it will open 10.00 – 16.00.

29th November 2019 – 1st December 2019 | The Brewery Arts Centre
This annual showcase represents everything outstanding about Cumbrian art and crafts and provides the opportunity to buy high quality gifts for that special person.
‘Craft Market Kendal always brings something special’ says organiser Jan Huntley-Peace, ‘especially this year with the new Artisan Festive Food Market in the Brewery garden and the Warehouse Gallery space with even more exciting new exhibitors who are selected for their high levels of expertise in a particular medium. Whilst we welcome back regulars such as Jamie Barnes, Gwen Bainbridge and James Hake it’s fantastic to welcome ceramicists Carolyn Marr and Katy O’Neil for the first time as well as the ‘Leaf’ Deborah Dawn with her unique botanical eco printed silk wraps, scarves and wall hangings.
Craft Market Kendal is an outstanding annual event spread over three days in this fantastic venue hosting amazing talented artisans producing art, craft, food and drink.

Kendal’s weekly market is getting a Christmas overhaul for one magical day. Head to Market Place on Friday 20th December to join in the festive fun.

Saturday 7th December | Westmorland Shopping Centre
Looking for something fun, free and festive in the run up to Christmas?
Then come and join us at Westmorland Shopping Centre where our Little Explorers will become Christmas toy testers with their lab coats, goggles and clip boards at the ready. Led by professional entertainers, children will be able to interact and help them to play with and score the toys to give their feedback to Santa.
Following all the testing our Little Explorers will be able to write their Christmas list and post it in the special postbox for Santa.
Sound fun? So why don’t you come and join us to celebrate the start of Christmas at Westmorland Shopping centre.
Also, don’t forget to pick up your Little Explorers loyalty card. If you have attended three or more clubs this year your little ones will receive a free gift.
Saturday 7th December | Plumgarths
Come and plan your Christmas menu and enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. There will be lots of lovely local produce from Lovingly Artisan, Ginger Bakers, Rinaldo’s and Plumgarths Farm Shop.
