A 28-day postal ballot asking local traders if they were in favour of renewing the town’s Business Improvement District scheme has now ended with a successful result for Kendal BID – of the 271 votes cast in the ballot, 165 were in favour of renewing the BID. This successful result means Kendal BID will run until 2024.
About Kendal BID
Kendal BID is based on the premise that businesses have a greater impact on their own trading environment by working together.
Kendal BID was established in 2014 and raises an annual levy from businesses within a specified area in central Kendal. The levy is then invested into initiatives to benefit local traders. The visit-kendal.co.uk website is one of many projects which benefits from BID support. If you’re a local business make the most of this destination website with our promotional toolkit guide.
Other projects supported by Kendal BID are Kendal Mountain Festival, the Comic International Arts Festival and the ever popular Summer and Christmas Kendal Trails.
