Come and celebrate our town’s wool heritage – with market stalls, demonstrations, family events and livestock guests!
It is with a heavy heart that the organisers have made the decision to cancel this year’s Kendal Wool Gathering. Instead they hope to run virtual events, check out their website for the latest news.
Returning for the ninth year over the last weekend of October, Kendal Wool Gathering mixes demonstrations, fun activities and displays, all connected to the cloth on which the town’s wealth was built.
The Gathering has cemented itself as one of the major events in our area and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country. Once again, a large number of exhibitors will be bringing a huge variety of quality goods including yarns, dyes, crafts, art, accessories, tools, felting, crochet, patterns, carpets, looms, spinning wheels and more.
Enjoy the food court and explore the large marquee for livestock, where you can meet a variety of sheep!
Kendal Wool Gathering is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to discover and learn about our town’s wool heritage – while also browsing stalls, meeting sheep and alpacas, and trying some new crafts!
The gathering comes alive with the Wool Market (featuring over 60 stalls from the UK and Europe), Wool School (where taster sessions in spinning and knitting draw the crowds), professional demonstrations and children’s workshops.
Free Parking available on site.
