About
Kendal Town Hall
Award winning Kendal Community Theatre’s PREMIERE of A Christmas Carol for Kendal in Kendal Town Hall sells out!
Two weeks before the opening night, no tickets are left for a new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ ghost story, A Christmas Carol for Kendal, written specifically for Kendal by professional directors Ginny Moss and Chris Taylor.
There is a waiting list https://www.trybooking.com/uk/BUPO
Local references include shepherds tending Kendal Rough Fell sheep on a nearby fell side, Scrooge is a Kendalian by birth, and, in a rumbustious scene, Kendal Grammar School pupils ‘bar out’ their master, preventing him entering the school if he doesn’t grant them a long Christmas holiday.
For this show we are delighted to welcome creative partners Sandgate School, 3 Sedbergh Drive and Brewery Youth Dance. A set built courtesy of Men in Sheds AGE UK, the poster image by Jamie Barnes, Kendal printmaker, and sponsorship from local firms, there’s a lot of COMMUNITY and KENDAL in A Christmas Carol for Kendal!
