Established in June 2018, Cross Lane Projects is Kendal’s newest art space. Founded by Cumbrian-born artist Rebecca Scott and her husband Mark Woods, a sculptor, the pair aim to bring contemporary art to Cumbria.
The exhibition space will regularly change with three contemporary art exhibitions each year alongside an exciting calendar of public talks and discussions.
Visit Cross Lane Projects and you will also witness a piece of the Kendal’s heritage, as the exhibition space is a former Kendal Mint Cake factory!
Cross Lane Projects opened to the public on 28th June with Female Trouble, an inaugural exhibition of prints by Dame Paula Rego and new paintings by Rebecca Scott. This autumn it presents the Mark Tanner Sculpture Award exhibition 2017/18, showing this major sculpture award in the north of England for the first time.
