Find out what’s happening in our wonderful town this weekend.

What's on - Kendal

Kendal Wool Gathering

Weaving, spinning, felting, knitting – this weekend a community of wool lovers will descend upon Kendal Leisure Centre to celebrate all things wool. The festival is returning for its fifth year over this weekend of Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th October 2017. And it is set to be bigger than ever!

The gathering will include demonstrations, fun activities and displays. With stands and stalls representing all aspects of commercial wool products.

Kendal Wool Gathering is a not-for-profit event, organised by volunteers and this is the first year the festival will take place at the Leisure Centre, having outgrown it’s previous home. Entry to the festival costs £1.

Head down to the Wool Gathering this weekend and celebrate the cloth on which the town’s wealth was built! Don’t forget to get involved in this year’s Pop Up Poppy installation too.

Not a beer fan? Don’t despair, on Saturday 28th October as part of their beer festival weekend, The Factory Tap will be holding their own mini Gin Fest. With over 15 different Gins from around the world and a selection of Fever Tree Tonics.
