Youngsters in Kendal are in for a treat this summer with the return of ‘Little Explorers’; a free kids’ club for children aged 3-10.

On Wednesday 14th August from 11am – 4pm, families will be able to enjoy ‘A Big Read’, whereby on the lower mall of the centre, outside Toyland Toyshop, children can listen to five of the most popular children books through theatre, props and story-telling. Little ones will also be able to take part in a range of free activities, including a treasure hunt and a book mark making craft workshop.

Westmorland Shopping Centre Manager, Nick Pitt said, “Our previous Little Explorers kids’ clubs have proven very popular.

“Whilst our events are free to attend, we have recently appointed the Royal Voluntary Service as our charity of the year, and so donations are welcome to help continue to fund the great service Anna Foley and the team offer.

“We would also like to remind customers to pick up their free loyalty card to redeem stamps – once three or more stamps have been collected, a free goodie bag can be claimed.”
