The Lakeland Climbing Centre has launched its Summer Bouldering League competition; aiming to bring all climbers together in a friendly activity, designed to challenge and engage every participant.

The competition will run for 6 weeks and features 3 open rounds, with each individual round consists of 25 boulder problems ranging from easy to very hard, so there’s routes for everyone.

Completion of a bouldering problem gets you 1 point no matter how many attempts it takes you to complete it.

Each round is cumulative, so the person who’s completed the most bouldering problems over the 3 rounds wins! There are 6 competition categories in total and the winner of each category will receive a free month pass to Kendal Climbing Wall.

The first round started on 3rd June and will run until 14th July, the second round starts on 15th July andirons until 18th August and the third round starts on 19th August and runs until 2nd September.

If you are in the area for a short visit, Kendal Climbing Wall offers a range of great activities for all of the family, especially on a rainy day. Head to the Climbing Centre website for more details.
