Located in the northern suburban fringe of Kendal, this area is being transformed into a beautiful new community nature reserve. The project aims to develop a sustainable and vibrant nature corridor, enriched with art, to conserve and enhance habitats and wildlife. It will also serve as an educational, exploratory, and recreational space for both locals and visitors.
Sensory Path
A key feature of the nature reserve is the sensory path, designed to offer a rich array of textures and sensations, ideal for discovering wildlife. This pathway guides you through the landscape, complemented by an interactive nature trail. Carefully placed art and diverse plantings invite you to pause and immerse yourself in nature, with various activities along the way to engage your senses through listening, looking, smelling, and touching.
Educational and sensory features enable people of all ages to cultivate meaningful experiences with nature, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
