Kendal has a vibrant arts scene year round, but art fans are in for a special treat this spring. Claude Monet’s ‘Haystacks: Snow Effect’ will be on display at our Abbot Hall Art Gallery until the end of April.

Claude Monet is one of the world’s most famous artists and he is considered the founder of French impressionist painting. The particular painting on display dates back to 1891, it depicts haystacks near his house in Giverney, France, close to where his famous waterlily gardens were situated.
