On November 9th at 11.00am Kendal will remember the fallen of conflicts across the world when the Mayor of Kendal, Cllr Richard Sutton, will observe the two minutes’ silence and then lay a wreath. He will be joined by the Deputy Lieutenant, Tim Farron MP and representatives of the armed forces, the uniformed youth, religious groups and community groups. All are welcome to attend.
To show its appreciation for their efforts, Kendal Town Council is also providing a roast dinner for 30 veterans and guests after the wreath laying at the Ring o Bells public house.
The council is grateful for the support it has received from the Royal British Legion, the Parish Church and the Ring o Bells in putting on this important event.
On 11.00 am on November 11th, the Mayor will also lay a wreath at the War Memorial.
