This week we’re shining the spotlight on Provino Wine.

Provino was founded in 2016 by Alberto Zambianchi and Jed Williamson. They want to ensure that the Italians don’t keep the best wines for themselves! Provino aim to introduce to the UK market, fine, artisan wines, that are exciting and distinctive. They supply Italian Red, White, Rose and Spumante wine.  Alberto Zambianchi grew up on a vineyard in a village called Scorzoletta, near Broni, a town in the Lombardia region of Italy. He worked alongside his father, collecting the harvested grapes, producing wine and delivering throughout the region. In 2004 Alberto moved to the UK but never lost his love for wine. In 2016 Alberto was joined Jed Williamson and Sebastian Rulliere to help grow the business further.

The Provino team love attending Kendal Farmers’ Market because they love to meet old friends and new people, to share a taste, and chat about wine! With Alberto’s knowledge of the wine-making process and Jed’s enthusiasm, it is always fun and informative.

The wine’s supplied by Provino receive fantastic reviews and the business grows through word of mouth. The team supply to many restaurants and bars across Cumbria as well as selling directly to consumers at various markets and on their website.

You can find Provino Wine at Kendal Farmers Market (9am-3pm) on the last Friday of the month.
