This week we’re shining the spotlight on Lovingly Artisan Bakers – bread with Northern Soul!

For Lovingly Artisan Bakers – it’s all about blending ancient grains and using traditional approaches to produce nutritional sourdough. They create sourdough that actively contributes to the wellbeing of all those who devour their loaves; just as a herbalist blends and heals in their pursuit of natural medicine, Lovingly Artisan blend and mould too with a similar quest in mind.

The grains heritage is at the heart and soul of the Lovingly Artisan bakeries personality. The grain they use is  grown for them in the North East of England and they work with their farmer and miller Andrew Wilkinson of Gilchester Organics.

Lovingly Artisan Bakers created their leavens over 30 years ago from a handful of organic raisins. Over time it has developed its complexities, characteristics, unique aroma, and its robust ability to leaven all of their daily bread.

The bakery was proudly awarded runners up in the World Bread Awards 2021!

You can find Lovingly Artisan at Kendal Farmers Market (9am-3pm) on the last Friday of the month and from their shop every Tuesday to Saturday 8am – 3pm. They look forward to meeting you.
