Interfaith Week returns to South Lakes with a meet in Kendal on Wednesday 13th November.
Events will be taking place across the region from 10th –17th November 2019 hosted by South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Partnership (SLEDP). Featuring talks on interfaith by Mr Hassan Burrows, Rev Rob Crompton and Father Hugh Pollock. Mr Hassan Burrows is the leader of the MCIK Muslim Community in Kendal, Rev Rob Crompton is an Interfaith Minister and Father Hugh Pollock is the Kendal Roman Catholic Parish Priest.
Everyone is welcome to join the event on Wednesday 13th November which will take place from 10.30am – 1pm at The Quaker Friends Meeting House on Stramongate.
The aims of South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Partnership are to:
• Seek to reduce inequality on the grounds of gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, rurality and religion/ belief
• Celebrate diversity and reduce discrimination
• Improve the life chances and opportunities for people who live, work and visit South Lakeland
