Dvořák’s Eighth Symphony is a treasure trove of some of the composer’s most compelling melodies, with depictions of Czech country life, rustic dances and more. We’ve a captivating opening in the shape of The Water Goblin, about a mischievous water goblin who traps drowning souls in upturned teacups, and welcome soloist Alexander Gadjiev for Chopin’s charming second piano concerto.
