FreeAbout
Join us for a free, friendly social walk at Sizergh Castle In the Lake District designed for people who enjoy a relaxed pace and good company while spending time outdoors.
We’ll meet at 10:00am at the Sizergh Castle car park, where your leader will give a short briefing before setting off on a gentle circular walk of approximately 5km. We allow around 2 hours for the walk, ensuring a pleasant pace with time to pause and enjoy the views and local wildlife along the way.
This walk follows gently undulating terrain on good paths, which may be unsurfaced in places. No high level of fitness is required, making it ideal for those who are new to countryside walking or returning after a break.
This walk is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and has been specially created to support people over 50 who may be new to walking in the countryside or looking for a welcoming, supported group experience.
