Kendal’s Torchlight Carnival is one of a kind. Each year swarms of Kendalians hits the streets to watch the procession, which has traditionally involved local businesses, schools, organisations and clubs. From decorated floats to dancing troups and marching musicians, it’s always so much fun to see what our creative community has come up with each year.

On Saturday the 28th September 2024, the town centre will host a daytime festival with craft stalls, activities, live music and entertainment. In the evening the procession will light up the streets as it passes round a town centre loop for all to see.
