What’s Happening?

📍 Abbot Hall Park (Kendal Mountain Festival Basecamp)
The evening begins at 5:45 PM under the arch at Abbot Hall Park, where you can join the festive parade led by the rhythmic beats of Drum Nation and the spectacle of dazzling stilt walkers.

🎉 The Parade Route
At 6 PM, the parade winds its way through Kendal’s streets, spreading holiday spirit all the way to Market Place.

🎅 Finkle Street & The Christmas Street
Once the parade reaches Finkle Street, the fun truly begins! Enjoy free teacup rides, meet Santa himself, and dive into creative activities with Ragtag Arts. Pair all this with delicious food and drink stalls, open from 6 PM until 8 PM, for a truly festive experience.

🎥 Market Place / Switch-On Stage
The final destination is the Switch-On Stage in Market Place. Here, the excitement builds with screenings of Kendal Mountain Films, traditional Christmas carols, and the big switch-on countdown. The stage opens at approximately 6:30 PM as the parade arrives.
