No plans for the weekend?

Here in Kendal we have lots of events taking place to suit a variety of musical tastes this weekend including

  • Beware of the armed men…’
    Saturday 9th February
    If you love classical music, head to St George’s Church where the Wordsworth singers will be performing ‘Beware of the armed men’ – a concert directed by Mark Hindley, with solo harp player Savourna Stevenson. Expect to hear music from the 16th to the 21st centuries, composed as a plea for peace in times of conflict. The concert will include the moving ‘Five Negro Spirituals’.
    Tickets £13 in advance, £14 on the door, under 18s free
  • Soul Train
    Saturday 9th February.
    Grab your dancing shoes and go on an uplifting journey filled with funk, soul, disco and Motown classics at the Brewery Arts Centre. This event is expected to sell out so book your tickets to avoid disappointment.

  • Fellside Singers present an evening in aid of Bendrigg Trust
    Saturday 9th February
    Fellside Singers are a local group who sing a cappella songs from all over the world. On Saturday they are hosting a charity evening in aid of Bendrigg Trust one of the leading outdoor disability specialists in the country challenging perceptions of disability through adventurous outdoor pursuits, such as caving, climbing and canoeing.
