As many of us have embraced cycling over the recent months, we’re exploring some of the popular and lesser known cycle routes around Kendal.

Kendal and District Cycling Club have carefully put together a series of 48 cycle routes for you to enjoy. These routes are chosen for enjoyable riding and pleasing views and vary from 14 to 40 miles. Those wishing to take a more leisurely ride without venturing too far can take advantage of their series of Easy Tuesday Routes.

Kendal and District Cycle Scene was established in June 1993 and are a friendly, active and dynamic group who over the years have worked with local authorities to improve cycle routes throughout our area.

Whilst you enjoy these cycle routes over the coming months, we encourage everyone to continue to exercise responsibly and follow social distancing guidelines.

If you don’t have a bicycle and cycling isn’t your thing, head to our ‘Outdoors section‘ for more inspiration on how to keep you and your family active whilst enjoying our beautiful local scenery.
